Privacy notice

Version 2026-10-v1. This notice is a working draft for the MVP and must be reviewed by a lawyer before public launch.

What we collect

Mobile number (for sign-in), the student's name, date of birth, optional gender, location, school, class and board, parent/guardian name and mobile, optional email, selected sports, saved competitions and alert preferences. We collect only what is needed to show competition eligibility.

Why

To calculate which competitions a student may be eligible for, to show deadlines, and to send reminders you have asked for. We do not sell data or show it to other users. Organisers do not receive your data unless you apply to them yourself.

Children

Students under 18 must register with a parent or guardian's name and mobile number and the parent's consent, as required by the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. A parent may ask us to view, correct or delete their child's data at any time.

Security and retention

Data is encrypted in transit, access is limited to the account holder and authorised administrators, and administrative actions are logged. Profiles inactive for three years are anonymised.

Your rights

You can edit your profile at any time. To delete an account, contact the platform operator at the address in the Help centre.

Not an official body

Ganisports is an information platform. Listings are compiled from organisers' public notifications and may contain errors. Saving or viewing a competition here is not a registration. Always confirm with the organiser.
